URSULA KELLY
BA LMPA
Ursula has been a multiple award winning professional photographer for over 20 years and her specialism and first love is portraits. She is very adept at getting the best from her subjects with her uncanny ability to help you feel relaxed, along with her ability to tailor her approach to suit your needs and a sharp eye for detail to make sure you have everything covered.
Ursula is equally comfortable with newborn babies and managing directors, families, and celebrities (Bob Geldof, Paul Smith, Julie Walters, and Ken Bruce to name a few) so you can be sure you’re in good hands.
Ursula believes that the secret of a great portrait is connecting with the person you are photographing so it’s really important to her that you feel free to be yourself. A recovering camera-shy photographer herself, Ursula understands how awkward some people feel having their photograph taken and you’ll be surprised at how quickly she can help you to relax and forget she has her camera in hand.
Ursula also has a strong interest in social projects, including her own photographic project ’Stories Of Us’ which has been exhibited across the UK including at the House Of Commons.
JIM BOXALL
BA MA
Jim has been working with video in many different capacities for over 20 years too. He has an established career working with many different types of companies and organisations to create films for multiple purposes and outputs: from university research programmes covering both technological innovation and behavioural studies through design; supporting architectural firms to make films exploring how ideas turn into buildings; and making films to promote a multitude of fledgling creative businesses across Nottingham’s Creative Quarter.
Jim also has a long history of other creative collaborations too, culminating in his work performing on stage with live music and video across the UK and Europe and which also saw one of his videos become a finalist in the Vimeo+ awards in New York.
Through his commercial work, Jim has always enjoyed the opportunity that filmmaking provides to find out what really drives people to do what they do and to find interesting, innovative, and iconic ways of telling their stories. Jim has also been involved in making films to promote what is currently the only clothing bank of it’s kind in the UK.
